Nadan
Plot : The film deals with the life of a drama artist (Jayaram) and his struggles. The obstacles he faces, both personally and professionally are narrated. How he makes a comeback in his drama career is what rest of the film is about.
Performances : Jayaram delivers an exceptional performance, probably one of his best if not the best. The actor proves that he still has a lot in him that has to be tapped. Rest of the cast also chip in with good performances.
Technical expertise : Kamal’s direction is brilliant for the 2nd consecutive time after Celluloid. The ace director is truly back in form. Screenplay and Dialogues are really good. The cinematography is another positive that gives the proper feel to the film. The BGM also blends well with the scenes.
Analysis : Nadan is surely a classic that will make it in the elite list of the best films of 2013 and also previous few years too. A good first half combines well with an equally fine 2nd half though the climax could have been a tad better. Must watch!
