Shah Rukh Khan-Rohit Shetty targeting Christmas 2015?

The latest talk in B-Town is that Shah Rukh Khan is aiming for a release this Christmas though there is a lot of confusion regarding the film. SRK’s first release of the year would be ‘Fan’ for Yash Raj Films directed by Maneesh Sharma. The film is slated for release on August 14. ‘Raees’ was the film that Shah Rukh was supposed to work on after completing Fan. The film was recently announced as a probable Christmas release this year. However, in a recent development, it seems that Raees might be postponed while Shah Rukh does another film before it. The reason for this is that Shah Rukh wants a Christmas release this year and Raees being an unconventional action drama isn’t festival kind of film. So, the makers have decided to make it a non-holiday release.

Rohit Shetty is all set to reunite with his Chennai Express hero and rumors are that this flick shall be SRK’s Christmas release this year. This isn’t entirely confirmed though and we shall have wait for an official announcement on the same. However, it is confirmed is that both Raees and the Rohit Shetty project are on. The only doubt is the ordering of these projects and as to whether SRK will have a Christmas release this year. Farah Khan’s Happy New Year was a success at the box office but the film didn’t quite rise up to the expectations of the trade and fans. The film was touted to smash records but after a record opening, the film lost its fizz to end up as a super-hit. After the success of PK and other Aamir Khan films during Christmas in recent years, it seems like it is SRK’s turn to aim a Christmas bonanza. Watch this space for more updates regarding this.
