Samrajyam 2 Shoot Wrapped Up

The shoot of Samraajyam 2, sequel to the hugely successful Mammootty-starred
has been wrapped up. The sequel stars Unni Mukundan in the lead role and has been directed by Tamil director Perarasu.

Saamraajyam was one of the biggest hits of the 90s and was a trendsetter. The film was written and directed by Jomon. The film was noted for its catchy style of narration and freshness in presentation of a gangster film. More than 2 decades later, the sequel is all set to hit the screens, and the expectations are undoubtedly sky high.

Director Perarasu who has helmed successful Tamil films like “Thirupaachi” and “Sivakasi” has experimented in narration and treatment of Saamrajyam-2. Unni Mukundan fits into the shoes of Mammootty who had created a sensation with the character ‘Alexander’. Ilayaraja who scored the music of Saamrajyam will be composing the background music for Saamraajyam-2. Camera is being handled by Shekhar V Joseph. The film also has Manoj K Jayan, Vijayraghavan, Suraaj, Madhu, Devan, Riyaz Khan, Keerikaadan Jose and Kalasala Babu in pivotal roles. The film has been shot in foreign locations and is produced by Ajmal Hassan.
