Oppam Does A Drishyam!!!
The latest Onam release of Mohanlal – Priyadarshan team, Oppam is ringing the cash register with huge occupancies all over. The film, which deals the content about a blind person protecting a little girl from a psychopath killer played by Mohanlal and Tamil actor Samuthirakani respectively. It is a thriller with an emotional angle and has received appreciation from everyone from audience of critics. Now the film has some takers from neighbouring states too, as the Tamil remake is announced for the movie. The Tamil version will star none other than Kamal Haasan and the details about the rest is to be followed. The project will be bankrolled by Suresh Balaji who is a relative of Mohanlal. Earlier the same associations happened for Mohanlal’s previous film ‘Drishyam’ which too garnered great words from the audience and critics alike. While that was remade by Jeethu Joseph himself in Tamil, Oppam too will be helmed by the same captain of the ship for the Malayalam version, Priyadarshan.
While the film is getting rave reviews, it is doing wonders in the box office too, as it went on to gross a huge 6.35 Crore at the end of the first weekend, that includes 4 days. This is by far one of the biggest weekends and looking at the wonderful run, more records are coming the way for this Mohanlal – Priyan film. The film is doing very well outside Kerala too, and with all figures counted, this is going to be a huge money spinner in this season. As Priyadarshan has got his tone right this time, we can expect a Hindi remake too, which has been a routine for the veteran director, for most of his box office hits.
