Yennai Arindhaal Kerala First Day Collection

Thala Ajith Kumar‘s Yennai Arindhaal on its first day has grossed around 84 lakhs in Kerala from 107 screens which is average to above average on a whole. The film had decent buzz and Gautham Menon is one director who has few likers towards his style of making. The film actually could have been grossed another 10-15 lakhs if not for the cancelled morning shows in Malabar area thereby missing about 35+ shows. In Kochi region things were above average with plexes doing better. Here Trissur opened better but night shows were dull, being the word of mouth is mixed.Palakkad and Trivandrum are other contributes were single screens did better among lot. This is Ajith’s best opener by an inch bettering Arrambam’s 83 lakhs which opened in 143 screens. If one compare both the movies occupancies are better for Yennai Arindhaal. Nett is around 66 lakhs and share around 33 lakhs. The buying right is quite high for an Ajith film and now it have to do steady business till the second weekend. As Mammootty’s Fireman has been postponed to 19th and today’s release ‘Aadu’ opening to poor reviews there is a chance if the movie can hold on.
