Kaththi Final Kerala Collection
Vijay and Murugadoss teams Kaththi has ended its business in Kerala and have given good profits to its buyers Thameens. The film which opened just below Jilla sustained for around 2 weeks before it gave away some of the theatres to the latest Malayalam releases. By then it ran into break-even and what it got from there was profit. But the film didn’t have a word of mouth like ‘Thuppakki’ and the lack of much entertainment halted any chance for long run. The film which was bought for around 4.20 crore closed the business with a share of 4.40 crore and a gross of around 10.30 crore. Malabar region has contributed around 1.34 crore and rest from Travancore and Ernakulam region. Moreover, the Malayalam dubbing rights adds another few lakhs which cumulatively gives around 4.90 crore of revenue to the buyers.
