Fireman 8 Days Collection
After an above average opening, Mammootty‘s Fireman is holding on in a fair note in most of the major centres. The film, which opened with a 1.30 crore gross from 2 days have added a 3 crore more from another 6 days making it 8 days gross around 4.30 crore. Ullattil films bought the movie for an outright amount of 3.10 including Print and Publicity and thus it has to earn a share above this to term as a hit. Till date the share is just above 2 crore, which is decent. There is a drop during the weekdays and thus the film has to perform well over the weekend. The film’s performance is average in southern belt, but that has been made up by better performance in the Malabar area, which is consistently performing for the actor from Rajadhiraja. As of now Malabar has contributed more than 40% of the movie collection and thus the film will hugely rely on this area. The film has retained 90% of its screens for the second week despite of some small releases and that’s a good sign for its further run. In short the coming weekend will say the movies verdict to some extent and that should be what the makers looking forward after last Sunday which was partially affected by world cup.
