Charlie First Day Collection

As expected Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie has shattered the record for day 1 as it amassed a huge 2.20 Crore from around 105 theatres thus beating Loham’s 2.14 Crore. It was expected to open a bit weak in Malabar area as there were Milad celebrations during the morning and noon but the film didn’t show such signs. The only slow down it showed was during the evening and night shown in Christian dominated centres like Kottayam as it was Christmas eve. But again, it was a terrific trend here too when you take into account these factors as shows usually happen with very poor numbers duringthe evening and night shows on the previous day of Christmas.
