Vishudhan
Overview
Cine Shore Rating:
A good theme that could have been executed better.
Plot : The film’s setting is in a village where a new Father (Kunchacko Boban) takes charge. He reacts to some of the happenings and practices in the Church. The movie builds up to an interesting interval block. Post interval, the movie gears up into a revenge mode.
Performances : Kunchacko Boban does a very good job while Mia is decent. Lal is excellent and Hareesh is good. The theme is fresh and has been executed neatly to an extent.
Technical Expertise : Vysakh’s direction is a major positive and he needs to appreciated for taking a route different to his previous mass masala entertainer. The BGMs are good and the theme is a bold one indeed. However, the script fails after a good first half. Things go at a snail pace in the 2nd half and the climax is a dampener.
Analysis : Overall, Vishudhan is a different attempt from Vysakh that works to an extent but a better screenplay in the 2nd half could have done wonders.
Rating : 2.5/5
