Oru Indian Pranayakadha
Overview
Cine Shore Rating:
Predictable but endearing.
Plot : Aymanam Siddharthan (Fahadh) is an ambitious young politician who works for the well being of the locality. His life and political career goes on well before he meets a bubbly NRI girl (Amala Paul). They bond big time and rest of the film deals with the events that follow as a result of this.
Performances : Fahadh delivers yet another natural performance that makes the common relate to him. His handling of the subtle humorous scenes are very good. Amala Paul was energetic on-screen and played ideal foil to Fahadh. Her’s was a role that could easily have misfired but she kept her composure. Their chemistry is endearing. Innocent, Lakshmi Gopalasamy and Neeraj all do a fine job.
Technical side : The DOP is very good and the visuals are nice. The storyline though a bit old works mostly due to the performances. The humor in the first half is good while things turn serious in the second half. Sathyan Anthikad is back in his elements as far as direction is concerned. The Nethave song is well shot and performed well too. On the flip side, the 2nd half is a bit slowish and the music i a let down too.
Analyis : On the whole, the film despite a cliche storyline manages to entertain you. The first half is bubbly and humorous. The second half is a bit more serious and slowish but decent. The performances ensure that the film is a good watch.
