Suraj Clarifies On the Controversy!
Winning a National Award and a State Award is something every actor dreams of in his career. Suraaj Venjaaramoodu has managed both in the space of just a month! The actor had been sidelined due to his one-dimensional comedies after having a great start to his career. However, he has made a strong comeback doing good comedy roles along with the National Award winning performance in Perariyaathavan.
While accolades and praises were flowing in from all quarters, Suraaj had fallen into a controversy. The actor had been awarded the best performance in a comedy role for the State Awards 2013. Many felt that it was an insult to the National Award winner though Suraaj himself thanked the jury and expressed happiness in having won the award. A fake news floated around saying that Suraaj had reacted to the State Award by the quote ‘I am still learning acting and probably have more to learn’.
Suraaj was totally unaware of this news and expressed his disappointment at this fake news. He has issued a statement clarifying his stand on the State Award which he feels is a huge recognition for him. Suraaj also said that he is ready to apologize for the fake news despite the fact that he had nothing to do with it. The actor was surprised at the ease with such a news was published without the authenticity being checked. He was hopeful that this statement would reach the public and that they shall understand his stand on the issue.
