Shruti’s Turn For Vijay!

Vijay is currently busy with the shoot of his next flick Kaththi directed by AR Muragadoss. The film which is a high voltage action entertainer is scheduled for a Diwali release and has Vijay in a dual role with Samantha as the female lead. Meanwhile, there is an exciting development on Vijay’s next by Chimbu Devan that is touted to be a fantasy flick. Shruti Haasan shall be paired with Vijay for the first time and this shall be an interesting pairing for sure given the ability of both to dance really well. Shruti is indeed having an upswing in her career over the past 2 years after the mega success of her Telugu flick Gabbar Singh that starred Pawan Kalyan in the lead.

Her film 3 with Dhanush won her laurels for her performances but it was in Telugu that her demand was rising with most potboilers having her as the female lead. Her terrific physique and energy on screen coupled with her glamour quotient makes her an automatic choice for masala entertainers. 2014 is by far her best year and we only half-way into the year. Yevadu was a success and that started the year on the right note while her Allu Arjun starrer Racegurram went on to become a mega blockbuster at the box office. Balupu featuring Ravi Teja also succeeded at the box office making it a golden period for the actress. While offers continue to pour in, she is ensuring that her presence is felt in the Tamil industry too. Her Vijay film is surely set to be a step in that direction and if reports are to be believed, the film shall be a refreshingly different flick.
