Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming projects

Shah Rukh Khan is busy with the shoot of his next release ‘Happy New Year’ that is scheduled for a Diwali 2014 release. The film is being directed by Farah Khan and co-stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood among others. SRK has signed 2 more projects in the span of 2 days!

The first of these is a project for Yash Raj Films is titled ‘Fan’ and shall be directed by Maneesh Sharma who has directed a few films like ‘Band Bajaa Baraath’, ‘Ladies vs. Ricky Behl’ and the most recent ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’. Though nothing official has been spoken on the project, the film is touted to be a romantic family entertainer with Anushka Sharma and Parineeti Chopra likely to be the female leads. SRK shall be seen in a dual role – one of a superstar and the other of a common man. The film shall go on the floors in May 2014 and is expected to release for either of Christmas 2014/ Republic Day 2015 or Valentines Day 2015.

The 2nd project in hand is an action thriller that is set in the 80s. The film also co-stars Farhan Akthar and shall see SRK as a Gujarati Don. The film titled ‘Raees’ is being directed by Rahul Dholakia of ‘Parzania’ fame. Raees is being produced by Excel Entertainment and shall release on Eid/Diwali 2015.
