‘Santosh Sivan’ Expresses His Joy!

Ace Cinematographer cum Director Santosh Sivan was recently conferred with the Padma Shri award and he is in totally overwhelmed by this recognition. Santosh feels that he is indeed blessed to be chosen for this honor and was all praise for the Tamil Film Industry that helped him make a mark in Indian Cinema.

The Film and Television Insititute of India had proposed Santosh’s name for the award for his contributions to Indian Cinema over the past 20 years and he expressed his gratitude to them.

Santosh Sivan who started as a Cinematographer with the Malayalam film ‘Nidhiyude Kadha’ is a winner of 12 National Awards, 6 State Awards and 3 Filmfare Awards. ‘Thalapathy’, ‘Roja’ and the most recent ‘Thuppaki’ are some of his best works while he is currently working on Suriya’s action entertainer ‘Anjaan’.
