Revathy To Quit ??

The reality show ‘Malayali House’ aired on Surya TV has been in the news for all the wrong reasons right from the time it was launched. The limits of decency and moral values are said to be breached by the contestants in the show. A major complaint that is doing the rounds is regarding the words used by the people in the show as well as the costumes. The general feeling among the Malayalees is that the show is turning out to be a stain on their tradition which is rich in culture.

Such has been the reaction against the show that the Women’s Commission has also come out strongly in criticising the show which has left actress Revathy, who is the anchor, in a dilemma. A rumour going around is that the actress is likely to quit the show. However, no statement has come out as yet from the channel or Revathy herself.

The Vanitha Commission has already slapped a notice against the show. Revathy states that a talk was given to all the contestants at the start of the show regarding the limits of decency that was to be maintained in speech and dress code. However, the relentless criticism of the show on the social network has worried Revathy as she feels this could taint her good reputation as an actress that she had got over the years. This has reportedly made her think of quitting from the show.
