“Ready To Be A Mother Again” – Shwetha Menon

The joy and pain of being a mother has been a huge achievement for actress Shwetha Menon who says that to experience it all once again, she is ready to be pregnant again. Shwetha was in the eye of a controversy lately due to her delivery process being filmed live in Blessy’s ‘Kalimannu’. She might perhaps be the only actress to suffer due to pregnancy. It has been 6 months since her delivery now and the actress is back to full swing as far as her career is concerned. Despite all the pain involved in delivery, Shwetha says that after the process got over, she felt it was bearable. In fact, the actress even told a doctor near her that she wouldn’t mind undergoing it all over again immediately. The doctor was amazed and said that Shwetha is probably the first woman to have told such a desire after delivery.

When the need for shooting the delivery simultaneously was discussed, the doctor was firmly against it. The crew then showed the doctor a clipping from a film where a delivery was similarly shot live. The doctor wasn’t convinced even then and ultimately it took a video prepared by Discovery Channel that made the Doctor give a half-hearted nod to the proposal. Shwetha says that a big deal was made out of the news when it first came with many channel experts being strictly against show of private parts in the scene. The actress is highly amused and says that there was never any such scene in the first place where any private parts are shown. She also said that she and her husband were entirely comfortable with the whole procedure and hence fails to understand why some people say it as an invasion to privacy.
