Rajadhiraja Takes Off From Tomorrow

It has been quite a time after we saw Mammootty in a complete Mass avatar. It is happening now with the much expected Rajadhiraja which had been in the planning from a couple of years ago. The film which mark’s the debut of Director, ‘Ajay Vaudev’ was postponed for several times as both the Actor and Director were busy with other film’s. Ajay had been assisting many directors like Vaisakh, Thomson, Johny Antony etc. in the past and was waiting for his time to come. On the other hand Mammootty has a good track in Mass genre, sans a few. Thus the expectations over the movie is sky high and association of Udayakrishna and Sibi. K. Thomas has elevated it. The film will kick-start its shoot from tomorrow in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu which has been host for the many film’s in past, especially the Mass entertainers.

Reportedly, Mammootty will be seen as ‘Shekharan Kutti’ who owns and manages a petrol pump and a restaurant. He and his wife ‘Radha’ along with their daughter ‘Durga’ leads a happy life until ‘Ayyappan’, one of their family friends comes into their life. This turns his life and what follows next forms the story of ‘Rajadhiraja’. It is also heard that Mammootty will have one more get up in the film which will be the highlight of the movie. Lakshmi Rai who changed her name recently as ‘Raai Lakshmi’ will play the role of Radha, Mammootty’s wife while Jojo will be seen as ‘Ayyappan’. Kathik Raja, younger brother of Yuvan Shankar Raja will be the music director and Shaji will be the Cinematographer. Siddeeque, Bheeman Raghu, Babu Namboothiri, Nelson etc. will form the rest of the cast. Editing will be done by Mahesh Narayanan and Art Direction by Gireesh Menon. Aroma Mohan will be the Production Controller. Pollachi, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Hyderabad etc. will be the major locations. The fill is an Onam release.
