Pistah Completes Half Century, Bags A Record

‘Pistah’, was one of the most happening word last year among the youth audience. Inspired from Jagathy Sreekumar’s hilarious bit in Kinnaram (1983), it was composed by Rajesh Murugesan as a promo track for Nivin-Alphonse Puthren teams 2013 comedy thriller, ‘Neram’. The song went on to become an instant hit, thereby reducing the efforts for the marketing of the movie. The track itself has a share of credits for pulling the initial day crowds. Later the film’s output made it one of the Super hits last year.

Meanwhile, the news is that, The’Pistah’ song has bagged one more feather in its cap. Yes, the Song which was uploaded by ‘Think Music’ has been completed a huge 50 lakhs views (i.e 5 Million) in YouTube, a record as the first Malayalam song to do so. Indeed a sweet reward for the creativity.
