Nazriya And Lakshmi Menon To Face Off!

Nazriya Nazim and Lakshmi Menon, the two young happening heroines from Kerala is all set to fight against each other very soon. The clash is happening as Nazriya’s ‘Thirumanan Ennum Nikkah’ and Lakshmi Menon’s ‘Jigarthanda’ are set to release together. Both the film’s which eye an Eid weekend release is in the news for reasons, more than one. ‘Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah’ stars Jai opposite Nazriya while ‘Jigarthanda’ has Siddharth opposite Lakshmi Menon. Moreover, Jigarthanda is directed by ‘Karthik Subbaraj’ the young talent who was behind the 2013 stunner, ‘Pizza’ which almost enjoys a ‘cult enjoys a ‘cult status’ among the youngsters. On the other hand ‘Thirumanam’ has got a hit music on its side composed by M. Ghibran. The Jai- Nazriya starrer has also got its share into controversies as a group of Muslim organisations have filed complaint against the film saying there is content which have effected their religious sentiments. Hence, the release of the movie had to get delayed for multiple times. Jigarthanda also had to postpone its release dates the last one to avoid the direct clash with Superstar Rajni starrer ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ which had a mammoth release in May. As of now both the movies are done with its procedures and the stage is set for both the movies. ‘Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah’ is being directed by debutant director Anees.

Although, both the films will more or less have to compete each other some trade pundits believe that they won’t be directly effected as they are different in genres , one being a romantic comedy and another being a dark thriller. ‘Thrumanam’ falls to the former genre and ‘Jigarthanda’ the latter. Both the film also boast of an ensemble cast with ‘Thirumanam’ has artists like Heebah Patel, Jamal, Pandiarajan, Deekshitha Manikkam etc. and ‘Jigarthanda’ has Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Prathap Pothen, Soundara Raja, Vinodhini etc. For Nazriya this will be her fifth Tamil film and for Lashmi the seventh one. Meanwhile Lakshmi will have her Malayalam film ‘Avatharam’ opposite Dileep during the same time.
