Mohanlal Sells His Vismaya Max
Mohanlal as an actor had always gone up to heights but as a businessman he has had mixed journeys till date. Some of them have hit the bulls eye while some gave him bitter experiences. Take his Mohanlal’s taste buds for instance. After a huge round of marketing and promotions it didn’t work out in the favour of the actor and was forced to sell it to the leading company Eastern Group. Lately, In a surprising development he has decided to sell his another flagship venture Vismaya Max studio in Dubai based media giants Aries Group.After some round of speculations and rumours Mr Sohan Roy, the owner of Aries Group has finally firmed the news by confirming the deal. Credited as the first and the foremost DTS studio in Kerala Vismayas Max, was set in the capital city in 2005, before it started its major branch in Ernakulam. Working for almost all Malayalam movies it was the busiest studio in the industry just like its competitor Lal Media. But Vismayas Max was once the only South Indian studio which owned almost all the resources and equipments like A.R Rahman’s studio.The company hosted several activities like animation works, post production works, dubbing, editing, DTS mixing etc. and was a common hub for the T.V Serial crews. The Superstar decided to sell the concern as it failed to generate the expected profit and his busy film schedules we hear.
Now, the company will be named as ‘Aries Vismayas Max studio’ post the acquisition and will continue to take up projects under the new management. Aries is a giant in this field with branches all over in the UAE and the world. With this new acquisition they plan to take firm root in Kerala. They have two television networks and own three 3D films. Sohan Roy is associated with the production of Rupesh Paul movie ‘Kamasuthra 3D’. But even though he gas sold his venture Mohanlal will continue as the brand ambassador of the concern.
