Mamta Mohandas Joins Mammootty And Asha Sarath

It was reported by us that Asha Sarath will be playing the heroine opposite Mammootty in his upcoming film ‘Varsham’ to be directed by Ranjith Shankar after ‘Punyalan Agarbathi‘s. This is the second big innings for Asha after her roles opposite another Superstar of M-Town, Mohanlal twice in Karmayodha and Drishyam. After her arrival, it’s time for another heroine to join them for ‘Varsham’ and it is none other than Mamta Mohandas for whom the toss has gone. If you think that she is just added for the grandness the director Ranjith himself has confirmed that both the actress will play pivotal roles in the film along with Megastar who has reportedly got a great character in the film. Mamta was last seen in ‘To Noora With Love’ opposite Krishh Sathar, but many didn’t even heard about this film. In fact, Mamta was going through a hard time both in her personal life and career where she didn’t get a notable character after Celluloid (2013) and was under a treatment for her cancer respectively. The actress, who ultimately conquered her disease is expecting the same good result in her upcoming films, where ‘Varsham’ tops. Mamta was last seen along with Mammootty in ‘Jawan of Vellimala’, back in 2012 after their team-ups in Bus Conductor and Big B.

Varsham’s cast includes T.G. Ravi, Sunil Sugatha, Sudhir Karamana, Harish Perady, Jayaraj Warrier, Irshad, Sajitha Madathil, Muthumani etc apart from the main leads.T.G. Ravi is said to play the antagonist in the film which is also written by Ranjith Shankar. Sujith Vasudev will move the camera while Bijibal will take care of the music department. Varsham is being produced by ‘Dreams and Beyond’, which is Ranjith’s own banner and will resume its shoot soon. It is expected to release sometime around October.
