Mammootty is the next Punyaalan!

After the success of Punyaalan Agarbathis that featured Jayasurya in the lead, director Ranjith Shankar is busy readying his next flick. Mammootty will be playing the lead role in this film that shall go on floors after the actor completes his ‘Gangster’ commitments.

Ranjith who had earlier worked with the likes of Dileep and Prithviraj is all set to portray a different Mammootty on screen if reports are anything to go by. Moreover, he shall also be producing the film under his home banner. Biji Bal will be composing the music while Sujith Vasudev shall be cranking the camera. Regarding the female lead and supporting cast nothing has been finalized yet and we hope to get an update in the coming days. It has to be mentioned that ‘Passenger’ was initially written for Mammotty, but the actor couldn’t allot dates which resulted in him not being able to do the film.
