Mammootty in different timelines for Varsham

Mammootty has just started his next ‘Varsham’ with Ranjith Shankar. The director who was supposed to rope in Mammootty for his first venture Passenger, later had to replace him with Dileep in the advocate’s role because of the unavailability of former’s date. Later Ranjith Shankar went on to do some more films like Arjunan Sakshi with Prithviraj, Molly Aunty with Revathi, and the very recent Punyalan Agarbathi‘s with Jayasurya etc. Ranjith, who sees Mammootty as his mentor and inspiration fro the mainstream film was still waiting to get the dates of his dear star which he could make it with Varsham. Reportedly Ranjith has come up with a brilliant character for Mammootty with multiple timelines. Thus he will be seen in different stages of age and will have his get ups also changed with that. According to the director ‘Varsham’ is a simple but novel attempt but will is said to have a brilliant character for Mammootty. Mammootty will be seen as an ordinary merchant in the backdrop of Trissur and the shoot has already begun from a week here. Mamta and Asha Sharat will be seen in the female lead roles and T.G Ravi will be seen in a major role with a negative shade. The film will be an October- November release.
