Koothara Censored

The much expected film of the season ‘Koothara’ is finally censored today. The movie which started off with a weird Title finally grasped the attention of the audience especially the young ones. The film which is the second venture of Srinath Rajendran, after a Hit debut with ‘Second Show’ falls in the genre of an entertainer with a dose of fantasy. The movie got bigger and grand when Superstar Mohanlal got on board and the super success of ‘Drishyam’ made the fans and audience excited about the project. ‘Koothara’ after a bright beginning got webbed in several issues, the financial problems being the main hurdle. Marikar Films, the producers later associated with the national corporate UTV making the potential of the movie larger.

The film which got censored today is said to be certified with a clean ‘U’ and is said to be 154 minutes [ 2.34 Hours] long. ‘Koothara’ was expected to hit the theatres on Thursday, 12th of June but got postponed by a day and will now release on Friday, 13th. The film stars Bharath, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Bhavana , Janani Iyer, Gauthami Nair, Shritha Sivadas, Madhurima, Baburaj, Ranjini, Neena Kurup, Arun Benny etc and Mohanalal will be doing an extended cameo appearance. Writer Vini Viswa Lal, Cinematographer Pappu, editors Praveen K. L. & N. B. Srikanth is retained by Srinath from ‘Second Show’. Calicut, Thodupuzha, Ernakulam and Andaman & Nicobar Islands were the major locations. We along with our readers wishes an all the best for ‘Koothara’.
