It’s Asha Sharath for Mammootty!

Actress Asha Sharath shot to fame through the Small Screen via serials and won the hearts of ladies in almost every household in Kerala. Though her luck in television couldn’t quite translate onto the big screen for a while, Drishyam changed things for her in a big way. The film which shattered all records by a mile in the box office had Asha in a vital role and she did absolute justice to it as the antagonist’s mother. After having shared screen space with Mohanlal, the actress has bagged another film this time opposite the other heavyweight Mammootty. The film in question is Ranjith Sankar’s Varsham. The film which is a social satire shall have Mammootty as a farmer and is slated for a release in October. This is indeed a big break for Asha as she shall be playing Mammootty’s female lead in the film which is a big challenge indeed. The actress is excited about the project and hopes that her fortunes change for the better with this flick.
