Is Mr.Fraud’s Delay A Conspiracy?

is-mr-frauds-delay-a-conspiracyMohanlal‘s Mr.Fraud is hogging the headlines for the wrong reasons over the past 2-3 days. The film that was scheduled for release on May 8 has got into big trouble after director B.Unnikrishnan’s FEFKA got into a spat with Liberty Basheer’s Exhibitors’ association. The personal battle has affected the film’s release and as per latest reports, the film will release on May 15 only. On the other hand, distributor Antony Perumbavoor has gone on record saying that the flick will release on May 8 itself which has made this a virtual battlefield.

The interesting thing though is that Rajnikanth’s magnum opus motion-capture flick Kochadaiyaan is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 9 and in Kerala, the film has been taken by directly by the exhibitors’ association for distribution. One wonders if the postponement of Mr.Fraud is a conspiracy created by a section of people for their vested interests. There doesn’t seem to be any other logical explanation for this needless issue otherwise.

The youthful multi-starrer Bangalore Days directed by Anjaly Menon featuring Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil and Nivin Pauly in the leads shall release on May 16. Let’s hope that this controversy is sorted out as soon as possible as monopoly and vested interests shall affect the industry badly. So will Mr.Fraud release on 8th or 15th is still a mystery.
