Good Demand For ‘Rajadhi Raja’

Mammootty’s Onam flick Rajadhi Raja is gaining the buzz as the days pass. The film which started its shoot last month is going in a brisk pace with almost two songs done. Now the producers of the film ‘Goodline Productions’ have opened the business of their movie and the response from the buyers are superb. The producers who are asking for a ‘minimum guarantee’ about 2.5 crores (Not Rights) got good bids from various buyers, were popular distributors ‘Thameens’ and ‘Liberty’ are leading the race. Now, it will be interesting to see whether they go with the same price or rise a bit, owing to the demand. Some feel that they may settle with either of these buyers. It is quiet an impressive business in a situation were Mammootty is having, a not so great time. The genre, Megastars mass avatar, his collaboration with another new director, the festive season are credited majorly by the trade for the business and plus that the makers are leaving no stones unturned with regard to the production values and lavishness for the project. It was a late buy by the current producer M.K Nasser from another new banner who were out to produce Rajadhi Raja and as of now one can say the former is set to make huge profits, if the output is on par with expectations. As they have decided to distribute it on commission basis, sounds like the investors are quiet confident. But the film will have a tough fight from another biggie Peruchazhi starring Mohanlal and Dileep’s ‘Villali Veeran’. Anyways it is now a wait and watch game for trade and all of them who are associated with the film.

Rajadhi Raja stars Raai Laxmi, Jojo, Joy Mathew, Vijayaraghavan etc and Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna will be seen in an important role. The film, which is being directed by newbie Ajay Vasudev is written by Udayakrishna and Sibi.K.Thomas. Karthik Raja is assigned to compose the tunes and Shaji with Cinematography. The film may release in September first week.
