Geetu Mohandas Makes It To The Oscars

Geetu Mohandas, the former actress has also proven her mettle behind the camera multiple times. The actress who is well known for her performance in movies like ‘Thenkaspattanam‘, ‘Life Is Beautiful‘, ‘Rappakal‘ etc later moved on to direct few acclaimed movies winning awards in different occasions. But now she has made it to the biggest event the film world have seen. Yes, we are talking about The Academy Awards a.k.a Oscars. Her latest Hindi movie ‘Liars Dice‘ is the movie we are talking about. The film becomes India’s officially entry to the oscars this year (Best Foreign Language Film for the 87th Academy Awards). She is now one of the few Malayalis who has made it to the oscars and few others in the previous years were ‘Resul Pookkutti’ for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. Mohanlal starrer ’Guru‘ and Salim Kumar starrer ’Adaminte Makan Abu’ are only Malayalam movies which nominated as India’s Official entry to Oscar . The Oscars will be conducted on February 2015.
