Dulquer Leaves Mammootty Behind

Don’t read through the lines seeing the title, It’s just the Facebook likes we are talking about. The debates and war of words between the fans of the actors which had been coming through the ages is nowadays limited mostly to the social media’s and when we talk about Malayalam industry it again limits for the Facebook Page likes. In an interesting moment yesterday the likes of Dulquer Salmaan’s official Facebook page just crossed his star dad Mammootty’s page likes. Even though there isn’t something great here, the Facebook lives have found an interesting topic to be discussed and that can be seen on the feeds from last evening. Mammootty, was probably the first superstar to enter Facebook (just like what he does for any trend comes his way) as far as Malayalam industry is concerned showing a way to his peers who followed him soon. As expected the Megastar was welcomed in a great manner by the fans and well-wishers resulting in a record likes them. Mammootty, who joined the Facebook on April 2010, had been using it to bridge the gap between him and his fans and has been updating it on a regular basis. Later, it was his son, Dulquer’s time to follow his father and he joined the ‘F’ – league on September 2012. Now, he has crossed Mammootty in the number of likes which may be nothing to be taken serious, but has surely led to some interesting comments from the fans. If you expect that it has hurt the Megastar’s fans it has been the other way. The fans of Mammootty have welcomed Dulquers feet and is busy wishing their Junior Megastar in their timelines.

Even though there are several discussions going on the reasons for this, the actual one is simple. Dulquer, being the one from youth brigade has surely won the hearts of the audience falling into the same category, who forms the majority of social media’s. Moreover, the most happening youngsters is being in the headlines every now and then from his Tamil debut to the latest big thing for the industry, Bangalore Days. Now, the only Malayalam actor to ahead of him is none other than another Superstar Mohanlal. It will be interesting if Dulquer finds his way across his dear ‘Lalettan’.
