Drishyam Gets Into A Serious Legal Tangle
We all know how big Drishyam was. The same repeated in Tamil and Telugu too as both the versions has hit the bulls- eye in box office. When Ravichandran made a strong comeback through the Kannada version Drishya, Venkatesh made it through the Telugu version, Drushyam. But as the movie gets on appreciations and exposure, it is getting into some tangles too. Recently, one of the leading producers of Bollywood has sent a legal notice to one of the producers of Drishyam as she has felt the makers have taken something which belongs to her. The producer we are talking about is Ekta Kapoor, who is the popular producer of ‘Balaji Films’ and she has sent a legal notice to one of the producer. Apparently, Ekta Kapoor has acquired the rights of Japanese book, Devotion of Suspect X, written by Keigo Higashino, with which Drishyam Plot shares a similarity. Ekta, who has bought the rights earlier, heard of the same and recently saw the movie. After watching she has seen many similarities with the book and has instantly sent a legal notice to the makers showing the same. It is heard that Ekta was planning to make a film based on the book and is reportedly irritated with this. It is to be known that to whom she has sent the notice as the reports are yet to be specified. Anyways a quick response to this is awaited from the producers of Drishyam as it may lead them to more serious issues. It is to be noted that Jeethu Joseph, he director of the original version had to face some queries about the same whether the film is based on this book, which he refuted and claimed to be original. Whatever the fact may be, Ekta is quite serious on the other end, we hear.
