Cricket flavor to strike Malayalam Box Office

Don’t misunderstand the heading, we aren’t talking about the Celebrity Cricket League that has just kicked off. What we are talking about is the comedy entertainer ’1983′ featuring Nivin Pauly in the lead that is all set to hit the screens on January 31.

This film that also features Anoop Menon, Gregory among others is a film based on cricket. The story deals with a youngster whose life takes a turn towards cricket after India’s historical World Cup win in 1983! Director Abrid Shine feels cricket is more than just a sport in India, and that is what he intends to portray through this film. Will this variety theme be able to pull in the crowds at the box-office?
