Anumol looks for meaty roles

Actress Anumol impressed one and all with her bold performance in the comedy entertainer ‘Vedivazhupaadu’. The film directed by Shambu Purushothaman opened to mixed responses but there unanimous acceptance of Anumol’s character of a prostitute that was essayed well indeed.

Her next film is Chayilyam in which she enacts the role of a widow. The film narrates the tale of a widow who is forced to act as a Goddess. Anumol explains that it is a highly challenging role for her and that she is elated at getting the chance to perform such a character.

The actress is getting a number of offers post ‘Vedivazhupaadu’ but has decided to be very selective about her films. She has expressed her interest in doing woman-centric films and films where actresses get meaty roles.
