Ajith To Do A BIggie !

After back-to-back successes in a space of 3 months, Ajith is now the most wanted star in the market. Despite his huge starpower, the consistency at the BO was eluding the actor which now seems to have settled with ‘Arrambam’ and ‘Veeram’. He is set to start his next project that shall be directed by Gautham Menon.

The breaking news is that the actor is all set to join hands with ace director Shanker for a project soon. Ajith had been a part of Shanker’s plans for ‘Jeans’ and ‘Endhiran’ in the past but somehow they never materialized. Coming to this news, the director had initially narrated the script to Rajnikanth and Superstar felt that the role would suit Ajith nicely.

While Aascaar Ravichandran has agreed to finance a Shanker project, the final call on that will depend on the business of the magnum opus ‘Ai’ that releases this summer. This Vikram starrer did have a few financial issues that stalled the shoot in between and apparently Ravichandran has spent a fortune on the film. This has in turn put him in a spot of bother as many of his projects like ‘Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah’, ‘Boolokam’ and ‘Vallinnam’ are still waiting in the cans to be released.

So we shall have to wait a bit to know the final decision regarding the possible Ajith-Shanker project as it is too early to comment on it now. Chances are certainly there but as mentioned above, we can get to know only after ‘Ai’ releases as Shanker never announces his next project unless his current one hits the screens. Meanwhile, KV Anand has finalized a script for Ajith and this could be the star’s next project after the Gautham Menon film.
