After Run Babby Run, It Is Peruchazhi!

Mohanlal’s mass masala entertainer Peruchazhi is almost done with its shoot and the post-production works will start shortly. The potboiler directed by Arun Vaidyanathan also features Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Baburaj in key roles. The film is slated for release on August 29 for the festive Onam season and this date has another bit of significance to it as the 2012 blockbuster Run Babby Run released on the same day for the same Onam season. Run Babby Run directed by Joshiy had Amala Paul opposite Mohanlal and the flick was a runaway winner at the box office. The crew of Peruchazhi will be hoping that history repeats this Onam season as well. The film had a lengthy schedule in the USA where it became the first Malayalam flick to be shot at Universal Studios. The USA schedule has in itself had a budget of a normal full length Malayalam film and the total budget could be a bit high eventually.

However, the makers Friday Film House are upbeat about the film’s prospect at the box office and hence this lavishness in the production side of things. Mohanlal shall be seen in a new getup for this flick and the stills of the same have created a huge frenzy among his fans already. The actor shall be seen in a white shirt and white ‘mundu’ which is expected to be a trend. There is also an item number titled ‘Po Mone Dinesha’ which is a cult dialogue from Mohanlal’s all-time blockbuster Narasimham that is sure to play to the gallery! This festive season is sure to be treat for the masses as the Kerala Box Office shall see Peruchazhi clashing with 2 other masala flicks in Mammootty’s Rajadhiraja and Dileep’s Vilaali Veeran also getting ready for release.
