Actor Vineeth Kumar to direct Fahadh

Vineeth Kumar was once quite popular as he got to share screen space with some of the big names in the industry. Even before coming to the mainstream roles he was seen as child artist in many films like ‘Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha’, ‘Dasharatham’, ‘Inspector Balram’ etc. His association with film’s didn’t stop there and he was a routine in many films post that. He got a breakthrough in 2000 with Mohanlal starrer ‘Devadoothan’. ‘Devadoothan’, even though a flop enjoys a cult status even now and Vineeth’s role of a blind person was well received along with others. Despite being a popular face, he couldn’t get the much needed solo breakthrough, throughout the career. The Actor was then seen very rarely, who was engaged in directing Ad films. Meanwhile he will be seen in ‘vegam’ soon, which is directed by newbie Anil Kumar. While the film is all set for a release within a couple of weeks, he has hit the highlights with an even better news. If things go per plan Vineeth will be directing the young heartthrob Fahadh Faasil very soon whose script work is completed according to him. ”I know Fahadh even before he became one of the leading stars and we have discussed few subjects before. Moreover, Fahadh always wanted me to direct a film for him . But it is not out of any sentiments or friendship that I roped him to do the role. I have written the script and felt that Fahadh is apt for the role,” says Vineeth.

The film with Fahadh, according to Vineet was planned two years ago and is just materializing right now. Now he wants to concentrate more on directing, acting being a secondary according to him. Fahadh Faasil on the other side is hands full with many projects and it will be interesting to know when Fahadh will allot his date for his friend Vineet in between his never ending list of filmography. Further updates about the movie is still to develop and Vineet himself will announce one by one upon the additions. Lets hope that Vineet claims a winner in his new area and extend his forte.
