1 By Two’s Director Faces Ban!

Arun Kumar Aravind who directed the recently released flick 1 By Two has been banned for 2 years and has been black-marked from the Kerala Producers Association. The allegations against him are for unwanted delays in production of his films which has resulted in overshoot of the budget. 1 By Two is finding it hard to score at the BO as well as in fetching satellite rights. The same problem had occurred during Left Right Left time.

He gained recognition through Cocktail that starred Jayasurya and Anoop Menon in the lead. However, his association with Murali Gopy was the turning point for him as well as the actor. Ee Adutha Kaalathu was a trend-setter and expectations from the duo since then became sky high. The political thriller Left Right Left satisfied expectations despite the controversies but like 1 By Two has been a big problem for the producers. Arun needs to understand that while making sensible films is a huge thing, box office is also equally important
