Manglish the latest outing from Megastar has done a good job at least with the opening. The film, which didn’t have any sort of hype went to get it to an extent because of the last minute aggressive promotions and the Eid factor. It also got benefited by other factors too. The Sunday release, a 2 holiday factor etc. has made the film get a good opening. The film, which had average initials in Southern and Central areas got superb figures from Malabar area and that’s what has helped Manglish till now, grossing a total of 3.15 crore from 5 days of its release. Also it did a slight surprise in Ernakulam when it had a decent to good status in plexes like PVR when things were below par in Shenoys, the main theatre. But, as the reports are mixed it is expected to drop significantly with the release of Avatharam and festive days coming to an end. Usually the day after Eid also remains quite strong and Manglish has more or less made use of that, thus performing well in its 3 days out of the total 5. Now, the film has to sustain through the weekend and the coming weekdays in order to get a Hit status which looks very difficult going by the trends.
