How Old Are You has become a big hit at the box office and the film has marked the return of Manju Warrier who is surely back with a bang. The film took a good opening due to the promos and Manju’s return coupled with Rosshan-Bobby-Sanjay team’s brand value which attracted the audiences. The film continued to sustain after a good opening thanks to the extremely positive talk among ladies and family audiences who have come in large numbers to watch the flick, day after day. The film has collected a cool 12.40 crores after 8 weeks of its run which is terrific by any yardstick considering that it is a woman-centric film.

The film does have Kunchacko Boban in a vital role, but it is more of an extended cameo while the focus of the film as well as promos was solely on Manju Warrier. It was her first film after 14 years and the hype was huge indeed. The fact that film was able to live up to its hype is an achievement for writers Bobby-Sanjay who has completed a hat-trick with this film after successes in ‘Ayaalum Njaanum Thammil’ and ‘Mumbai Police’. The film continues to be steady at main centers with the families still preferring the flick even after 50 days of its run. The fact that it competed with Mohanlal’s Mr.Fraud and then withstood the tsunami Bangalore Days at the box office proves that it doesn’t necessarily require a superstar to carry a good content film and that even a lady can be a superstar which Manju has proved with her return!
