Rollicking Start For Bangalore Days!
The celebration of youth Bangalore Days has set the box office on fire both in Kerala as well as in rest of India with a humungous opening creating new records everywhere. The film released in 98 screens in Kerala and in a whopping 105 screens outside Kerala making it a massive all-India release. As per reports, the film has collected a whopping 8.45 crore in 7 days from Kerala alone setting a first week record for a Malayalam film by some distance. The first weekend records were smashed by a mile as well early on. The film has also set first week weekend and week records for a film outside Kerala though the datas haven’t been obtained accurately at the moment. We shall update that later.
The hype around the project was sky-high and the content has backed it too big time. The youth has gone crazy on seeing Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil and Nivin Pauly share screen space in what has been an amazingly blended script by Anjali Menon that packs humor, romance and sentiments in the right mix to keep you glued. The performances of the actors, needless to say, was brilliant with each of them scoring in different areas. Parvathi has scored among the female leads while Nazriya’s bubbly energy works well too. The theaters are witnessing massive crowds with the rush for repeat audiences too becoming a sight to see.
As per the latest updates, Bangalore Days is all set for a mind-boggling 2nd weekend and week as well at the box office. With only a couple of major releases and with Ramzan stepping in, the film is sure to get a free run which will only add to its already unstoppable ride. The best thing for the film is that it is getting not only the target youth audience in heavy numbers but also the family audiences who are also loving the flick big time.
Bangalore Days is being produced by Anwar Rasheed in association with Weekend Blockbusters. Gopi Sundar has composed music for the flick with camera by Samir Tahir. The film is being distributed by actor Prithviraj’s August Cinemas.
